     Do-It-Yourself specialist on YouTube who posts fashion advice videos to her popular channel LaurDIY. She also runs a blog by the same name.She started posting to YouTube in the spring of 2012 while in college. She passed the 1 million subscriber milestone on YouTube in September 2014. She now has over 5 million subscribers. She has been featured in 17 magazine on several occasions. She is Japanese, Finnish, and Ukranian descent and is from Toronto, Canada. Her ex-boyfriend Baz appeared on her channel in challenge and tag videos. In 2015, she began a relationship with Alex Burriss, AKA Alex Wassabi.
     On October 13, 2013, she published a video called "Ariana Grande: Hair, Makeup & Outfit Tutorial!" She collaborated with Ben Brown on a video titled "ULTIMATE CANADA VS BRITAIN CHALLENGE!" LaurDIY is one of Canada's Top 5 female creators on YouTube. A self-described "professional glitter lover," Lauren's channel blends her love and talent for DIY with fashion, home, and fitness.
      LaurDIY says fell into YouTube kind of by accident and three years later, she’s one of the most popular content creators in Canada. Lauren Riihimaki is adorable, an adjective I don’t usually use for grown women, but in this case it’s totally accurate. Not only is she small, sweet and cute, but the 21-year old St. Catharines student. She is literally adored by millions of fans. Lauren, aka LaurDIY, is that newly minted type of star a wildly popular YouTube creator with over 2 million subscribers and 96 million views. Her specialty is DIY errrythang from clothes and accessories to beauty and decor. She vlogs about prom, back to school, her morning routine and even her breakup.  One more sign she’s big time? LaurDIY’s fans have a nickname: (#prettylittlelaurs.)

        The running joke in my family is that LaurDIY has been a thing forever.
